Lewis is a spinoff of the very popular UK police procedural drama Inspector Morse (John Thaw [deceased]), after Mr Thaw passed away Kavin Whately was Morse's Sergeant, suggested a spinoff be made to sort some of the older unfinished storylines, ITV agreed and the rest is history, Lewis was promoted to Inspector and the series took off.
The only sad bit is is that it is broadcast from a commercial channel in Australia. Aussie fans of UK drama would be happier ABC aired all UK drama aired on Aunty
This social networking site (guffaw, who thought of that silly name!), er blog is for comments about Lewis which goes to air with series three on Friday 16 April 2010, there is 4x90 minutes (120 mins with ads) eps in the series.
